Nothing has been included in respect of any payment which may be made to the Foreign Office. We paid 230,000 in May on the authority of your letter of the 4th May, No.55077/43, for expenditure incurred by H..Consul at Macao on relief during the year ended 31st December, 1942, but we have no idea whether this is a recurrent item or whether it has any connection with the remittance of patacas or with the claim for £250,000 which you have just received.
